Jane's professional history is rooted in design. She has a BFA in Design and spent the first part of her career in Graphic Design. Later, she chose to teach while she developed her studio work. She has a Master of Arts Degree in Visual Studies and teaches various graphic design and studio art courses. Her work has been exhibited in various galleries including Northwest Mutual Gallery in Milwaukee, WI, The Foster Gallery, Eau Claire WI, and Northeast Wisconsin Technical College to name a few.
The focus for her current collection of work is influenced by intense observation of the environment and its decomposition and renewal while focusing on texture and color interaction to express these ideas. Her work is abstract and it provides a universal connection to the essence of the world around us. Her goal is to engage the viewer for personal reflection through the work.
