Danica Oudeans received her BA in Studio Art and her MFA from Miami University of Ohio. She has worked with schools, non-profits, and businesses in Wisconsin to collaboratively plan, design and create impactful works of public art. Her professional work has been exhibited across the Midwest, Pennsylvania, and Florida as well as purchased for both private and public collections.
Much of Danica's work is inspired by sensory experiences. She depicts these experiences through abstract imagery. Movement within the painting is used to illustrate a vibration of sound. The dense rough textures elicit bright tastes and a warm inviting color evokes a welcoming memory of smell. These sensory experiences interact with one another to create layered, painted, drawn,
and sculpted surfaces.
